What we build

Seamless solid-surface panel walls with no joints in them, frameless low-iron glass, warm metal hardware, and a curbless entry when the floor will take one. Low-iron matters more than it sounds: ordinary tempered glass carries a green cast from its iron content, and you see it the moment it sits against a pale stone wall.

The same shower can be built to be safe without looking like it was. That is most of what this company is for.

What we find in Troon & Desert Mountain bathrooms

Mostly 1990s and 2000s custom construction, which means the bones are usually good and the problem is design rather than repair. The recurring one: an enormous primary bathroom whose shower is a dark corner with a curb and a framed door. Opening that up — curbless entry, frameless low-iron glass, continuous panel walls with no joints to fail — changes the room more than any other single move.

The local constraint worth knowing about

Gate access, HOA architectural review and staging on large lots. Straightforward, but it has to be arranged, and on a custom property it is not a phone call the morning of.

And if someone in the house needs it to be safe

A curbless entry, a properly anchored grab bar and a bench can all be built into a shower that still looks like the rest of the property. We do that constantly — most often a primary suite and a guest suite in the same house, built to two different briefs.

No grout lines. Anywhere.

Every seam in a shower wall is somewhere water gets in and mildew comes back. A seamless solid-surface panel has none of them — no grout lines to scrub, seal, or redo in four years. You wipe the wall down and you are finished.

It also installs faster, and the result does not depend on whether one setter had a good week. This is the only way QC Showers builds a shower. It is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.

Who is actually doing the work

John Montiel, QC Plumbing — Arizona ROC #344196, licensed, bonded and insured. A shower is a plumbing job with a finish on it, so the person who sells it should be the licensed plumber who installs it. There is no crew you have never met and no franchise call centre between you and the work.

Troon & Desert Mountain · questions we get asked

Why seamless panels?

Maintenance, and where things fail. Every seam in a wall is somewhere water can get behind and mildew can come back, which is why so many showers look tired at four years old and need work at eight. A seamless solid-surface wall has no grout lines at all — you wipe it down and you are finished. It installs faster too, and the result does not depend on whether one installer had a good week. It is the only way QC Showers builds, deliberately.

What does it actually look like?

Continuous solid-surface panel walls in smooth white, grey marble, cream marble or warm stone, frameless low-iron glass, and warm metal hardware. Low-iron glass matters more than it sounds — ordinary glass carries a green cast that changes every colour behind it.

Is the glass frameless?

Yes, and it is low-iron. Standard tempered glass has a green tint from its iron content, which you notice the moment you put it against a white or a pale stone wall. Low-iron is clear, and it is the difference between a shower that looks custom and one that looks ordered.
